I picked up a couple more layer cardis in a recent flash sale. This is the Mauve Floral - so pretty for spring & summer, and the fabric seems extra soft! I like to size down to a Small in these. You can wear them open or tie them in the front.
The cutest! I have this piece and I ordered this one for my Mama because she loved it so much. Love the darling elbow patches - always the sweetest details.

I love wearing layer cardis as a lightweight long-sleeved layering piece during the warmer months. The ribbed jersey is so soft and feels wonderful! I find they fit on the larger side, so I like to size down to a Small for a better fit in the shoulders.
Layer cardis are the perfect lightweight layering piece. I particularly love the ones made of ribbing fabric (they’re extra soft) and I primarily wear them with my tees in the spring & summer. I find they fit a bit big on me, so I like to size down to a Small.
I have a number of layer cardis, but this is the first in the ribbed material, and I am in love. It is so soft and drapes so beautifully. This mulberry colour is gorgeous too. I oscillate between XL and 1X in buttercream tops and the XL is definitely plenty big in this style.
I love the layer cardis in the ribbing fabric - I find them perfect for layering in the warmer months. They’re not too heavy, so they keep you nice & cool while still protecting your skin from the sun. They’re also super comfy for lounging at home (the loungewear sets are made from the same ribbed jersey fabric). This new Pecan colour is divine - kind of a mix of chestnut/rust and mustard/rum butter tart (it actually matches my hair, which is a first!). I sized down to a Small and there’s still plenty of room, it’s a very forgiving style. Such a great piece.

I had this sweater knit cardi made in a custom sale - this is the layer cardi in Dark Kelly Green, very close to evergreen in colour. Beautiful for fall/winter and the holiday season. I really love the layer cardis in this sweater knit fabric - it makes them extra cozy! I sized down to a small in this and still have tons of room, it fits really well.
Another layer cardi to add to the collection - this is Ash Rose with Charcoal Dot elbow patches. Super cute! Looks great with any casual outfit. Layer cardis work so well as a light layer to throw on during seasonal transitions.

I love my patterned layer cardis. I’m a big fan of stripes and was SO excited to see this black & white striped layer cardi with the black elbow patches being offered on the site this summer! Last one from this batch - this is the green plaid layer cardi. Perfect for fall & winter (and the holidays, of course). It’s made from a soft, lightweight jersey and it feels so wonderful. I like layering these with crew tees and scoop tees. I size down in my layer cardis and am wearing a size small here.

This is the dark kelly green cardi without elbow patches and it is a great layering piece any time of the year. Very comfortable to wear all day and the length is great as it isn't too long!

Another lovely layer cardi with patches - I got this one in a flash sale last year. This is Black Cherry with Black elbow patches. I wear these all summer long because they’re nice & light - although they do also layer up nicely with a scarf and a long-sleeved shirt during the cooler months. Layer cardis with elbow patches are so cute! This one is pre-loved and I picked it up from the B/S/T group - I love the rust colour with the charcoal patches. These are lightweight (jersey) and great to wear in the spring & summer for a light layer, either for a bit of warmth or protection from the sun. The black polka-dot print was the prompt to order this cardigan. It's so pretty! It is both comfortable and professional-looking. The cardi will complement so many of my shirts and sweaters. It's already one of my favourites. Size Large is true-to-size for me.

The fit, fabric and cut of this cardi are absolutely what I was expecting and hoping for, and I'm always happy to add another quality Buttercream piece to my wardrobe. The only reason I dropped a star on my review is that I feel the colour of the item was somewhat misrepresented in the photo. I expected a brighter/more jewel-toned colour based on the photo I saw, and I feel the cardi that I got is almost a navy blue rather than the jewel-tone (closer to cobalt) that I thought I had ordered. Still a blue that I love - just not quite what I thought I was getting.

The layer cardis have a beautiful drape to them. They are so flattering and comfortable. These ones fit a bit big so I prefer to size down one size.
I get so much wear out of my Buttercream layer cardis. I got this beautiful brick dust colour from a recent sale and am in love with the colour!!
The colour is a bit of a darker green than I expected, but it's still beautiful! The sleeves are a bit tight, but I think that's my fault for sizing down. That said, I am going to love this cardi come fall! Edit: I have now washed and warm this cardi already, and it's going to be comfortable over t-shirts for fall.

Even though I ordered a medium, it still seems to fit rather large.
